Disruption is something not everyone looks forward to, but Michelle Ponto loves the challenge of staying ahead of change. Michelle is an Emmy-nominated journalist with over 25 years of news and media experience. She joins Eurocom Worldwide's member agency EMG in Benelux as new content strategy director and she will be orchestrating some disruption at EMG.
In her new role, Michelle will develop creative marketing and communications solutions, and leverage these across all platforms. She will be looking for opportunities across the EMG client base – especially in the areas of digital innovation, and will be working closely with the account teams to find new ways to help EMG's clients connect with their audience and help them extend their reach by merging digital media with print and traditional PR.
Michelle comes from a unique background and brings with her a fresh perspective that complements the existing EMG structure. She has worked in news outlets such as The New York Times, CBS and ABC local news, E W Scripps and the Discovery Channel, giving her exceptional experience in reaching audiences in challenging and crowded marketplaces. Plus, she has also gained international experience working in corporate communications and developing multimedia campaigns for companies in North America, Europe and most recently in the Middle East.
When it comes to marketing and communications, Michelle doesn’t take a cookie cutter approach. Being results driven, she takes a personalized strategic approach that begins with developing content plans and campaigns through to analytics and metrics. She looks for the distinctive angle that will set the client apart from the competition to help them develop stronger stories and effective multi-platform content to expand their reach.
Over the years, EMG has built strong relationships with its clients by helping them share their message with the media and their customers. With Michelle’s expertise in the digital realm and insight into different communication tactics, EMG is looking forward to spreading their message further in 2019.
