Eurocom Worldwide Member Agencies Convene in Paris for Annual Network Conference

German member agency SCHWARTZ PR commended for coordination of Eurocom Worldwide cooperation with United Nations World Food Programme

Eurocom Worldwide, the global PR network, concluded its 6th Annual Conference with delegates approving of a year of growth and successful projects carried out by the network’s member agencies. In total, 31 delegates from four different continents attended the conference in Paris.

With 29 member agencies in 60 locations, Eurocom Worldwide is one of the world’s largest independent networks of PR and communications agencies. In total, the network recorded over 125 projects and shared activities between member agencies in 2006. The total business value of activities in the network also increased substantially on the year before.

Among the events at the Annual Conference were discussion forums focussing on accreditation of and quality in consultancy work, as well as workgroups about client retention and client services. And members were given an exclusive first look at the results of the Eurocom Worldwide Technology Survey, which will be published shortly.

“Our member agencies are characterised by their local expertise and independence, since most are owned and managed by founders. Hence our annual conferences are an important forum for deciding on our joint priorities for the year ahead,” explained Network Director Mads Christensen.

At a special ceremony during the conference the annual Chairman’s Award was presented to SCHWARTZ PR of Germany for an exceptional contribution to Eurocom Worldwide: For the last two years SCHWARTZ PR has acted as liaison for the cooperation between Eurocom Worldwide member agencies and United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), in support of the annual ‘Walk the World events’ which are organised to help fight child hunger.

Agency founder and owner Christoph Schwartz received the award on behalf of all staff at SCHWARTZ PR.

In total, Eurocom Worldwide member agencies and their partners operate in national markets covering 92% of the world’s population.
