Eurocom Worldwide Appoints New Chairman
In its 10th Anniversary Year the Global PR Network Appoints Successor to its Founding Chairman
Eurocom Worldwide, the global PR network, has appointed Robin Baker as its new Network Chairman. In his new role, he succeeds Greg Farrett, who has headed up the network since its inception in 2002, and who will continue as CEO of one of the network’s founder member agencies, EMG.
Robin Baker has extensive experience in senior marketing and general management positions, with a focus on team building and change management. Robin holds an Honours degree in Business Studies, specialising in marketing, and attended the INSEAD Business School, Paris. Since 2004, he has been holding the role as the network’s Deputy Chairman, working closely with Network Director Mads Christensen, successfully steering the network towards its 10th anniversary in 2012.
Eurocom Worldwide remains one of the leading independent networks of marketing and PR agencies with global coverage, and it has consistently ranked in the top 5 of global industry surveys. Recently, the network has developed its Membership Principles to align with international consultancy management best practices, and later this year it is launching a tailor-made lead generation and business development program for its member agencies.
On taking up his new appointment, Robin Baker said: “I am delighted to formally step into the role as Chairman. In recent years I have been closely involved in laying the foundation for the network’s operations by securing its finances and its strategic direction. I am proud of what we have achieved in our global community.
He added: “I would like to thank Greg Farrett for his unstinting drive and energy, which have contributed immeasurably to the success of our network. On a personal level, I am extremely grateful for his continued support and generosity in making time available whenever needed.”
Robin Baker said: “In this, the network’s 10th anniversary year, Eurocom Worldwide is exceptionally well positioned as a global provider of b2b marketing and PR communications services as we are focusing on continued growth with a strong emphasis on innovation and business cooperation between member agencies and with clients around the world.”
